Characters
Rintaro Yagumo

Meet Rintaro Yagumo, a poor, film director who owns a small independent studio, “Studio Yagumo”. He makes a meager existence on sham supernatural DVDs and the occasional small-time promotional video, but is constantly improving himself. He recently won prizes at the 6 Minute Film Festival and the Asian Film Convention, gradually earning him renown as an up-and-coming director.
Riho

Riho is an up-and-coming actress. Despite her small debut with a small agency, her captivating looks and natural acting ability have gained her high esteem even within the industry. She posses both natural carefree charm and the confidence of an actress, which she uses to throw her manager, Manabe for a loop.
Aine Magari

Studio Yagumo’s foul-mouthed assistant. According to her, she joined the studio because she failed to find a job anywhere else... Aine seems like a former delinquent but deep down, she has a good heart. She’s perceptive to details and often looks after Yagumo despite being younger than him.
Amakata Hitoha

A no-name idol from a small agency who pulled herself up from the lowest ranks with hard work. She was chosen by Yagumo to be his leading actress. A true natural beauty, even with her baby-face. What she lacks in the ‘showmanship’ of a performer, she makes up for with her bright and cheerful nature.
Kanade Kyoichi

A young, silent, industrious cameraman who often works with Yagumo. He’s still in training, but he’s got the guts and the spirit of a cameraman. He’s also understanding about payment, which is a big help to the poor Yagumo. He likes to work behind the scenes and has a knack of becoming nearly imperceptible except for when he’s needed.
Mie Aoto

Mie has never been the superficial type. She’s not interested in fashion or bothered about standing out. She enjoys her standard every-day look of plain glasses and formal attire. Her interests are far more academic, and always took a particular shine to local history, studying ‘Yakumo Koizumi’ in her third year of university. She’s well-versed on Shimane’s shrines and folklore; once she starts talking about them, her passion cannot be contained.
Shoko Manabe

Riho’s partner who’s always working alongside her. She’s capable, but the wild Riho often throws her for a loop. She’s less of an idol manager to Riho and more of a meddlesome older sister. She can be strict, but she values Riho’s talent more than anyone else. She seems level-headed, but outside of work, she can be clumsy and airheaded. She’s an avid reader of a certain light mystery series.
Izaya Ibuse

One of the three directors attached to the latest Shimane Mystery Drama Project. He made his directorial debut in his early 20s focusing on promotional videos. His artistic vision quickly earned him fame, making him a modern favorite. He’s an artist who behaves listlessly and speaks with an air of importance.
Monami Haishima

Director Ibuse’s manager who’s always by his side. She’s a mature, hospitable woman who supports him in nearly every aspect of his work, including managing his schedule. She’s reserved and mild-mannered, but she’s got the looks of an actress and radiates with a natural charm.
