Introducing Survival Deck-Building Strategy Game “Grow The Seed”
PQube is excited to announce its partnership with development studio Tabematsu Studio to publish Grow the Seed, a survival deck-building strategy game sprouting out on Early Access in May 2025. Even better, players can experience the game right now with a free playable demo available on Steam!
A unique take on the deck-building roguelite genre, Grow the Seed combines deck-building, resource management, and light tower-defense elements. Players must cultivate a seed into a thriving tree by strategically selecting and upgrading cards, managing water, sunlight, and nutrients, and defending against underground and overground threats such as worms, moles, and crows. Each season presents new challenges, culminating in intense boss battles against formidable foes like a giant crow or goat.

Features
Strategic Deck-Building – Carefully select and upgrade cards to develop your tree’s structure and manage essential resources like water, sunlight, and nutrients.
Seasonal Challenges – Adapt to the four seasons, each impacting gameplay—winter limits growth, summer demands water conservation, and spring and autumn bring both opportunities and new threats.
Defend Against Nature’s Threats – Face underground and overground enemies, from moles to crows, and battle powerful seasonal bosses like a giant goat.
Upgrade & Expand – Strengthen your strategy with improved tools, a traveling merchant, and a dynamic in-game economy built around growing and harvesting food.
Relaxing Yet Strategic Gameplay – A hand-drawn art style and engaging mechanics make Grow the Seed both immersive and rewarding.

“We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with Tabematsu Studio on Grow the Seed,” says Tyrone Walcott, Product Group Manager at PQube. “This game plants fresh ideas into the deck-building genre, allowing players to cultivate their strategies and see them flourish. With its rich mechanics and organic progression, we’re confident that Grow the Seed’s upcoming Early Access launch will take root with players and leave them eager to see how their efforts blossom.”
