New Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark Trailer!

PQube (London, UK) – December 17th, 2024 – As seen in the PQube Asia Showcase, PQube team up once again with Inti Creates to release Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, releasing digitally on all platforms on March 27th, 2025. The physical edition release date for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 will also be announced soon!
Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark is the newest title in the Gal Guardians series of gothic-inspired 2D action-adventure games. Expanding on the previous game’s setting from a single castle to the entirety of the Demon Realm, Gal Guardians has evolved into a true metroidvania adventure.
Starring Kirika and Masha, two new sisters with entirely different playstyles which players can switch between in order to appropriately defeat every enemy and fully explore this all new map.

A world of endless demonic civil war – the Demon Realm. The strongest among the demons known as “Demon Lords” battle day-and-night for control over the realm.Kirika and Masha, maids who serve the Demon Lord Maxim, return to their castle to find it destroyed by a rival lord, Lyzenorg. As the only surviving vassals, Kirika and Masha must adventure together with their master Maxim, reduced to a shell of his former self, in order to restore him to glory.

- Gal*Gun-vania: Now a full-realized metroidvania, uncover countless combos and possibilities as you explore the Demon Realm with your two upgradeable characters.
- Revive Your Allies: Each of Maxim’s vassals you find and revive will strengthen your home base, the Demon Lord’s castle! As you rebuild, unlock bonus features which assist you on your quest for revenge.
- Sister Power: Kirika and Masha, the two sister maid heroines, each bring their own unique gameplay styles. One attacks with demonic guns whilst the other covers close range attacks with her whip!
- Couch and Online Co-op: play together locally or online, each player controlling a sister, opening up countless possibilities to discover new places or defeat difficult enemies through teamwork.
- Collect and Craft: Defeating enemies and discovering chests will earn you random drops of consumable items, sub-weapons, and even passive enhancements called “Demon Relics”. Use these items to unlock new special abilities needed to access new areas of the map.
- Choose your “Style”: Inheriting the “Style” system of its predecessor, you can choose to play “Casual”, “Veteran”, or “Legend” modes, available to switch between at any time with unified content across all modes
EXPLORE THE DEMON REALM AND COLLECT MOUNTAINS OF LOOT!
Search for hidden passages, trap doors, and solve puzzles throughout the Demon Realm to collect the scattered bones of the Demon Lord Maxim.
Unlock sub-weapons and abilities for our two heroines, Kirika and Masha, to open up new routes and strategies. Try every tool at your disposal to succeed!
Maxim’s vassals are scattered around the Demon Realm! Find and revive them to help strengthen your home base, the Demon Lord’s castle. As you rebuild, they will provide bonus support features to assist you in your quest.
Random drops from enemies and treasure chests will earn you consumable items, sub-weapons, and passive enhancements called “Demon Relics”. Use these items to unlock new special abilities for the sisters and access new areas of the map!
Sub-weapons can be combined and crafted to customize their power, making use of items you wouldn’t otherwise need. Gather, craft and enhance to your hearts content!
CO-OP ACTION WITH MULTIPLE PLAY STYLES!
Older sister Kirika attacks from a distance with demonic guns while her younger sister Masha covers close ranges with her whip. Spend demonic energy to attack with different sub-weapons and switch between the two sisters as the situation changes.
Two player co-op play is available both local and online! With each player controlling one of the sisters, work together to traverse the castle and open your options up!
Servants of the Dark inherits the “Style” system of its predecessor, allowing you choose between “Casual,” “Veteran,” and “Legend” depending on your preferences.
Switch Styles at any time in the game menu, all of the game’s content is available no matter what you choose.
