Overview

Prepare for another epic adventure in the magical world of Kitaria in this fun action RPG complete with farming and crafting!

Across the great expanse of the Endless Ocean lies the Arkadera Peninsula, a distant region that once marked the western edge of the Empire. As the years passed and the Empire’s presence began to fade, the outposts that once protected Arkadera’s citizens were gradually reclaimed by nature, leaving behind a small community to take refuge in the walled haven of Whitewall Town.

Eager to prove their skills in the field, ambitious Royal Army ‘Pathfinder’ Alice Skylar and plucky local guide Dusty Tuftkin join up with the Royal Academy Expedition Team on its mission to reopen Whitewall Town’s fabled errand house, explore the wide peninsula, and restore the long-forgotten outposts.

But as the expedition journeys farther into the north, rumours of a mysterious figure deep within the wilderness slowly begin to surface…

The Arkadera Peninsula

The remote Arkadera Peninsula once marked the very edge of the Empire, with the small port of Whitewall Town acting as a gateway to the western continent. But as the years passed and the empire’s influence slowly began to fade, the region became increasingly isolated. Although the citizens of Whitewall Town have since made good use of Arkadera’s fertile soil and abundant timber to build comfortable, if modest, lives, most never stray beyond the relative safety of the coastal lowlands, leaving the deep forests, boggy marshes, rugged highlands, and snow-capped mountains to the north largely unexplored…

The Royal Academy Expedition Team

Wishing to renew the bonds of friendship between the frontier settlements and the Capital City, King Cerulean has asked the scholars of the Royal Academy to send small expedition teams to the farthest corners of the Empire. Led by administrator Fawn and supported by the newly graduated Royal Army Pathfinder, Alice Skylar, Arkadera’s expedition team is entrusted with reopening Whitewall Town’s fabled errand house, conducting a thorough survey of the peninsula, and restoring the long-forgotten outposts so that Whitewall’s townsfolk can once again live in harmony with nature.

Characters

Alice Skylar

An ambitious, young Royal Army Pathfinder, Alice has been sent to the Arkadera Peninsula to support the Royal Academy’s Expedition Team as they survey the wilds and help reconnect Whitewall Town with the rest of the Empire. As a child, she studied at the Academy, where Whitewall’s apothecary, Periwinkle, nurtured her love of herbalism and potioncraft. Thanks to her education Alice earned a place in the Royal Army’s new pathfinder program, where she blossomed into a skilled fighter, eventually graduating at the top of her class. Bright and conscientious, Alice understands how important her first real-world assignment is, and she’s determined to give it her all!

Dusty Tuftkin

An energetic youth from Arkadera’s Whitewall Town, Dusty is currently training as an apprentice baker under the watchful eye of his uncle Louis. Inspired by stories of his mother, a legendary warrior on a campaign in a distant land, Dusty dreams of a more adventurous life. He’s even gone so far as to appoint himself as the town’s ‘unofficial’ protector, and regularly explores the wilderness outside its walls, much to the dismay of his aunt Wisteria. Upon learning of Alice’s imminent arrival and the Expedition Team’s mission, Dusty sees his chance and volunteers to be their local guide.

Fawn

A scholar from the Royal Academy, Fawn has recently been posted to the peninsula to guide the newly formed Expedition Team on its mission. Learned, curious, and deeply passionate about Kitaria’s history, he wholeheartedly believes that knowledge is something meant to be shared with everyone. Despite his best efforts however, his organisation skills leave much to be desired…

Kiki

A peppy farmer with a keen eye for business, Kiki first appeared in the original Kitaria Fables where she taught Nyanza and Macaron how to grow crops on Thunderbunn Farm. 11 years later and she has since had a successful career, managing several farms, and selling her high-quality produce to communities throughout the Empire. Now semi-retired, Kiki spends most of her time travelling, enthusiastically encouraging anyone who’ll listen to pick up a hoe and give the simple life a try.

Maya

A young and talented blacksmith from the small town of Howl who now works the forge in Whitewall’s bustling town square. Maya is mature for her age with a self-assured, independent spirit. She pours her heart into her craft and many of the town’s younger residents look up to her, seeing her almost as a big-sister.

Periwinkle

Whitewall Town’s resident apothecary who once taught at the Royal Academy, Periwinkle is an expert potion maker who carries a deep appreciation for the natural world and the science behind every tincture and remedy. He has a soft spot for Alice, one of his most dedicated former students, and is excited to discover that he might once again share his knowledge with her.

Louis & Wisteria

Dusty’s Uncle and Aunt, and co-owners of Whitewall Town’s bakery, ‘The Fluffy Bun’. Louis, an eccentric pâtissier can always be found in the kitchen working on his next extravagant creation. He hopes to bring some culture and flair to the far-flung reaches of the empire, and prides himself on perfection and excess, much to the exasperation of his long-suffering wife! Wisteria is a humble cook with a fondness for simple local comfort foods, Wisteria manages the front-of-house and day-to-day business while her husband experiments in the kitchen. Kind and caring, she feels hugely responsible for Dusty, having promised his mother long ago that she would raise him in her absence.

Ash

A mysterious travelling merchant who recently set up shop in Whitewall Town. Nobody really knows where he came from, but rumour has it that he can obtain rare and valuable materials, for a considerable price of course. Ash has been known to smooth-talk his way out of any situation, yet behind his charming demeanour lies a shrewd and calculating mind that values self-preservation above all else.
