Kitaria Fables 1.0.3 Quality of Update now live!
Kitaria Fables receives a paw-some quality of life update on all platforms!
Good news for Kitaria Fables fans, we’ve just released the 1.0.3 Quality of Life update on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG.com, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One! This patch will help to streamline gameplay by addressing some of the most commonly reported pain points from the community. We also decided to revisit the script and make changes to the character dialogue throughout to clarify some of the main plot points, and have updated the localisation for all languages 😽
Here’s a full list of what has changed!
Quality of life improvements
🗺️ Improvements to the overworld map: Visual improvements to the overworld map now make exploration more enjoyable and intuitive.
- It is much easier to recognize which locations are linked via pathways.
- Each location has a treasure chest counter to let you know how many unopened wooden, copper, silver, and gold chests remain.
- Quest availability markers now appear in their associated locations so you’ll never get stuck with where you need to go next!
⚙️ Reducing the grind: Changes to material drop rates and the in-game economy will speed up progression.
We have upped the % drop rate of materials for a significant proportion of enemies which means that you’ll spend less time grinding for the materials you need to craft new equipment and items. We’ve increased the amount of Paw Pennies that you are awarded for completing main quests, and have increased the sell price for all crafted materials deposited in the sell box by 40%.
✈️ Fast travel points: Fast travel improvements will make exploring Canoidera better than ever!
- Every fast travel point that you discover now supports two-way travel. This will make it much easier to jump between discovered areas and drastically reduce backtracking.
- The entire fast travel ‘network’ has been reworked to focus on key towns and areas which will feel much more logical.
🛏️ Resting and time of day: Expanded options for resting will reduce down time.
- As there are a number of in-game mechanics that make use of the time of day feature, we’ve expanded the options for resting so that you can now pick to skip forward to either 7 am, 12 noon, and 6 pm when you rest at Thunderbunn Farm.
Balance changes
⚖️ Difficulty modes: More modes for different playstyles!
- Originally we had a single fixed difficulty which has now been replaced with four different modes which can be changed at any time via the pause menu.
- Each mode scales enemy attack and defense values to accommodate different player skill levels.
🏹 Changes to the bow weapon: Justice for bow-wielders.
- Bows were a little bit underpowered, so we have buffed their damage stat to be more aligned with sword weapons. This means that magic damage calculation is much fairer for bow users who were previously penalised due to the difference in attack values.
💫 Enemy status effects: Less time waiting around to recover.
- We have debuffed the stun, freeze, and poison effects so that you recover faster.
