Overview
PQube is a global videogames publisher for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC/Steam. We specialise in publishing Japanese videogames, from BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, Gal*Gun and Steins;Gate to indie games, such as Cat Quest, New Super Lucky’s Tale, Nexomon: Extinction, Evergate, Supermarket Shriek, Inertial Drift and more.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast moving, successful and growing business within the video games sector.
PQube is currently looking for a Product Manager to join the Letchworth team, and work with the Bristol team and CMO remotely.
The role requires a hands on style, with 2+ years’ experience in product management.
Key Responsibilities
Purpose of role:
To support the CMO in giving our products the best possible chance of success by:
- Overseeing the development and delivery of marketing strategy on individual PQube games
- Liaising with the Operations and Production team to ensure the timely release of product
- Managing budgets on individual titles
- Co-ordination of timings and placement of advertising activity
- Developing relationships with key clients – from developers to distribution partners
- Overseeing all marketing creative – from design, to video direction
- Overseeing the design and manufacture of merchandise
- Presenting product to key retail accounts, consumers, press and sales teams
- Communicating marketing updates and activity to the clients, group and sales teams
- Reporting on current campaigns and optimising them for the best possible delivery
- Ensuring the products are listed online for sale
- Social media co-ordination with the Community Manager to develop your products’ awareness and general category strategy
- PR co-ordination – identifying influencers and writing press releases to support the PR Manager
- Event management and on-site presence at events both domestic and international
Measures of Success
Key measures will include:
- Sell through of the product – did your product sell?
- Controls – showing a clear understanding of spend against budgets
- Ownership – end to end ownership of the products success
Essential Skills
- At least two years’ experience in either an in-house or agency marketing position
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Google Docs, and Photoshop
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to track several projects over many months
- The confidence to present professionally to external partners – from sales and retail to consumers and media
- Strong Marketing fundamentals
- Comfortable working under pressure, with multiple parallel deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Huge passion for, and knowledge of, videogames and gaming culture
- Knowledge of the Japanese/Asian/anime gaming scene would be highly beneficial, as well as language skills
- An understanding of Graphic Design and the ability to effectively brief and communicate accordingly
- Integrity, trustworthiness, flexibility and adaptability
- A proactive, get stuck-in approach
- Well-organised and presentable

- Motivated – there is little micromanagement in our company – you will be required to be strongly self-motivated and a drive to want to succeed
- Comfortable working individually and as part of a team – there will be a healthy mix of working on your own (setting up campaigns etc) and as part of a team (working with various departments within the company)
