Social Media & Community Manager (Asia Division)

Letchworth, Full-Time

OVERVIEW

PQube is a world class global publisher of video games and is seeking to continue its growth with the appointment of a creative and motivated individual to manage its social media activities.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast moving, successful and growing business within the video games sector.

This role requires someone passionate about Asia-imported games, particularly visual novels and anime-style games, with proven experience managing social media channels and communities.

You will be responsible for working with the Asia marketing team to understand the overall marketing plans and work closely together with the product manager to develop social media strategies and its required assets and manage and carry out community management strategies.

Someone who has experience managing social media accounts and keeps up with the latest trends and general environment of the space. And someone who is comfortable with image and video editing software in order to create the required content for engagement.”

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Actively play and promote our upcoming games through social media channel creating impactful content, and be the key contact within the games’ communities. Working closely Product Manager you will be responsible for:

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT:

  • Develop the social media and community strategy in line with the marketing goals outlined by the product manager.
  • Manage the timeline of posting on key social platforms, for the key outlined posts.
  • Write the copy for the posts and create the designated assets in line with the plan, which then gets signed off by the product manager.
  • Keep updated with current trends within the relevant social spheres.
  • Running PQube specific social channels which benefit the Asia department goals.
  • Executing all social media marketing campaigns in line with the marketing plan.
  • Generation of marketing copy and image/video assets (working with our product management, video and design teams, but capable of asset creation yourself)
  • Monitoring and reporting on social media platforms utilising specialist social media management software and Google Analytics.
  • Working with the product / brand managers to ensure all campaigns are consistent with the product brand.

COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT:

  • Manage the communities of our Asia games across Steam, Discord and Reddit.
  • Create strategies for engagement with the relevant communities in line with the marketing plans.
  • Manage polls, competitions and giveaways and important game-related community updates.
  • Be comfortable being a public face to represent the games, including live streaming and other social content.

MARKETING ASSISTANT SUPPORT:

  • Build a detailed understanding of our portfolio of games, past and upcoming.
  • Assisting with product research, product capture, marketing plans.
  • Assisting with writing copy, gathering screenshots, game information.

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 1+ years’ experience in a practical social media management role or evidence of social media and community management through other means
  • Practical experience with Facebook / Instagram / Twitter / Reddit / Discord and other leading social media marketing platforms is essential. This is a hands-on role where you will be creating and managing content.
  • Video and image editing software competency ideally Capcut (bonus for: photoshop, Premier Pro)
  • Demonstrable ability in writing social copy.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of PQube Asia titles
  • Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Marketing theory
  • Strong level of the fundamentals of social media marketing metrics / tools and optimisation strategies
  • Passionate about Asia-imported and anime-style games, particularly visual novels

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

You would be responsible for delivery of the social media strategy and content for the products you are working on.

Key measures will include:

  • Sell through of the product – did the social media marketing campaign deliver sales?
  • Social statistics and tracking, and community reception
  • Intelligent time management and scheduling – ensuring effective community management and development in the areas which deliver against the business objectives.
  • Ownership – end to end ownership of the social media marketing activities and communities for the relevant products you are working on.

  • Comfortable working individually and as part of a team – there will be a healthy mix of working on your own (setting up campaigns etc) and as part of a team (working with various departments within the company)

KEY INFO

  • Location: Letchworth (Spirella Building , SG6 4ET)
  • Remote: No (Hybrid, 2 days in the office, 3 days from home)
  • Work from Home: 3 days a week, Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
  • Hours: 9am – 5.30pm – Monday to Friday (with flexi time outside the core working hours of 10am – 4.30pm)
  • Travel: Some international travel may be required.
  • Interview process: Will vary dependant on CV but will potentially include Teams interview, formal interview (with presentation) and/or formal interview (no presentation).
