ROLE ELEVATOR PITCH
“We require an experienced QA Tester who is able to create & execute detailed test plans, work with Mantis to log & issues across FQA and CQA as well as being able to provide feedback on quality and improvements. They will need relevant games industry experience and be comfortable working with developers of varying sizes, talking to senior members of studios and building strong relationships to maintain a long working partnership”.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Purpose of role:
- Creating efficient test plans for projects.
- Testing video games across a variety of platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, XSX, Steam, Switch.
- Database management, experienced with bug triage process and prioritisation.
- Knowledge/Experience with Compliance testing for TRC, XR and Lotcheck, ensuring games meet the standards of the platform holders.
- Familiarity with Language testing such as text bleed/overlaps.
- Assisting the team with ad-hoc tasks such as video capture, Age ratings and screenshots of games.
- Responding to customer support emails.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Previous experience in a QA role within the games industry.
- Familiarity with bug databases and how to get the best out of them, we use Mantis so knowledge of that is a bonus but JIRA, Testrail, Hansoft knowledge a bonus.
- Competency in delivering valuable feedback on product quality that developers can act on.
- Knowledge of the submission and QA process to successfully submit and release products.
- Knowledge of current game industry trends and an understanding of the global games industry.
- Attention to detail and diligent working attitude.
- Ability to work autonomously and use prior experience to assist independent decision making.
- Able to provide constructive feedback to various stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for video games and knowledge of the current platforms.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
KEY INFORMATION
Location: Letchworth (Venture House, SG6 2HW)
Remote: Hybrid – work from our Letchworth office Tuesdays & Wednesdays may be required on occasion
Hours: Ad-hoc day to day
Travel: Some international travel may be required
Interview process: Will vary depending on CV but will potentially include video interview, formal interview (with presentation) and/or formal interview (no presentation)
