PQube is a global videogames publisher for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC/Steam. We specialise in publishing Japanese video games, from BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, Gal*Gun and Steins;Gate to indie games, such as Kitaria Fables, Tormented Souls, Cat Quest, New Super Lucky’s Tale, Evergate, Supermarket Shriek, Inertial Drift and more.

PQube is currently looking for an Assistant Product Manager to join the Letchworth team working a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
The ideal candidate would be motivated, intelligent, passionate about video games and willing to support a broad range of general marketing and PR activities.
ROLE ELEVATOR PITCH
“We need a gamer, who is creative, interested in marketing and capable of using video editing and image editing software (such as Photoshop and Premiere). Your day to day activity will be varied and include the creation of assets, capturing video games, writing content for news posts/blogs and supporting the wider marketing team”
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Purpose of role:
This is a development role where you will be given support and training to develop into a Product Manager.
Your responsibility as an Assistant Product Manager is to support the Product Manager with marketing assets and activities to give our products the best possible chance of success through:
- Social media asset generation including GIFS, images and short videos
- PR co-ordination – identifying influencers & supporting with media outreach
- Recording footage of games for trailer and screenshot purposes
- Copy-writing – generating Steam updates and website content
- Research – keywords, competitors etc, to support the digital marketing team
- Community work – interact with the community on our Discord channel where required
- Marketing support – supporting the Marketing team with other activities
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Key measures will include:
- Feedback from the marketing team on the quality of content produced
- Development within the role and responsibility gained
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- At least 1 years’ experience in a Marketing role
- Degree-level education, preferable marketing or media studies, and strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Google Docs, Adobe Photoshop and Premiere (or other relevant video editing software)
- Huge passion for, and knowledge of, videogames and gaming culture
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to track several projects over many months
- Autonomy – the ability to carry on with tasks given, keep track of them and communicate in case of issues, try to solve them first where possible
- Comfortable working under pressure, with multiple parallel deadlines
- Excellent written English
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of the Japanese/Asian/anime gaming scene would be highly beneficial, as well as language skills
- Integrity, trustworthiness, flexibility and adaptability
- A proactive, get stuck-in approach
- Well-organised and presentable
- Project management software experience

This is a development role and you will learn valuable skills as part of your progression.
Skills you will learn as part of this role will include:
- Project management – managing timelines and activity schedules
- Stakeholder management – communication and relationships with developers and internal departments – managing a product internally and externally
- Marketing – audience identification, segmentation, targeting and positioning and practical strategies and techniques to drive sales of video games
- Creative – creating design briefs, working with creative teams,
- Teamwork – working within a Marketing department, collaborating on projects and tasks

KEY INFORMATION
Location: Letchworth
Hours: 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week with some flexibility
Remote work: Monday and Friday work from home, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
work from the office
Travel: None
Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
